I'm the Executive Producer responsible for news and digital content production of WJAR's top-rated morning newscast. I collaborate with the News Director to establish short and long-term goals. I enterprise and execute coverage of original story ideas with a proven record of owning breaking news coverage.
I've developed extensive contacts and relationships that help me schedule news making guests for interviews. I write clear, concise, and clean copy to tell stories. I'm responsible for approving all content, copy, video, and graphics for broadcast and digital platforms. I respond to all logistical and technical issues during the broadcast. I'm also the producer of WJAR's weekly political & public affairs program.
Prior to joining WJAR, I was the morning-drive Executive Producer at legacy news/talk radio station WPRO-AM/WEAN-FM. I redesigned the format and program clock to improve TSL and increase revenue. I was responsible for updating imaging campaigns and promos to help increase ratings. I co-created regular accountability segments to connect listeners with top state and government leaders. I also helped lead the station's coverage of the 2013 Boston marathon bombings and subsequent manhunt.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Mass Media Communications at Rhode Island College. I developed and hosted my own talk show at RIC Radio and Anchor TV. I enjoy spending time on Cape Cod, reading and running -- I completed the Boston Marathon three times. I live in Coventry with my wife Kaelyn and rescue dog Hattie.
